I was able to show my Golden Nugget $100 a day food comps and received $400 in food credit in the Scarlet Pearl's many restaurants. Also, a player ahead of me cashed in a Harrah's, Cherokee, NC voucher and received $450 in chips. They would match any casino's promotions and then give you back the vouchers you were redeeming. Sort of double dip for most folks. And, your first day of gambling losses were covered up to $400 that would be refunded in casino credit or vouchers for chips. And, the casino was very pleasant and had a good feel.
And, the poker room had so many promotions (aces cracked, bigger full houses, Aces full of 10, etc) you needed a handbill to determine if you had a winning promotional hand. And, there was an old timers tournament (people over 65 added $25 to the pot for each who entered the tournament). And, crap tables added best back line odds on the coast. I am convinced they are luring all the other casino guests because the big three there (Beau, Hard Rock and Golden Nugget) were sparsely populated.
