The Page Hotel building was constructed in 1862 and originally called the St. Charles. Since then it has gone thru
many name changes. In 1946 it was changed from the Travelers to the Page Hotel. It remained that name until
1953 when it was changed to Pony Express Hotel. The Page was the first hotel to be granted a gaming license.
I remember a bar called Jim's Jungle operating at this location. Today the place is called the Firkin and Fox.
