Tahoe Village operated on the south shore of Lake Tahoe from 1946 to 1951 before becoming Casino de Paris from 1952 to 1954. Chips from both locations remain in demand today. In 1955 it became Oliver's Club, when Oliver Kahle and Ben Jaffe purchased the property, but it was destroyed by fire in 1963. This area now houses Douglas County government offices. After selling the land to Douglas County, Kahle moved to Las Vegas, where he ran the original Castaways on the Strip before selling it to Howard Hughes.
