Thank you to all of you for your support. I visited doug last night He was able to sit up in a wheelchair. He still is not walking. He is very weak. His speech a has improved dramatically over the last couple of visits. He is working vary hard. He tires very easily. Doug has a really , really long road ahead of him. Will he ever walk unassisted. Or be able to work or even drive. We just have no answers for thoes questions yet. Thank you again for all of your donations , thoughts and prayers and words of encouragement.

Doug is a 52 year old single father of two boys. One of which who is autistic. Doug had a severe stroke on September 27, 2015. Doug had to have part of his skull removed to relieve pressure from his brain. Damage was done to the brain and some brain tissue had to be removed. Doug is currently in a nursing home/ rehab facility. He can not walk or take care of his personal needs. Doug is an Air Force veteran. The Veterans Administration says that he is not entitled to any disability compensation. He cannot file for social security benefits until he has been disabled for 5 months. Doug ran out of sick leave 7 days after his stroke. There is currently No funds left. All bank accounts have been exhausted. Doug is also the out going worshipful master of the Cedar 60 Masonic lodge. The boys are heart broken. The really miss their dad. We are all doing out best to maintain the house hold. But with no income coming in and medical. Bills mounting. We as a family are pleading for help. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
