Did this place ever open? The photo looks pretty "deserted". The lvstriphistory.com site has a long section on Desert Spa that goes on for 5 years. It would appear they never got a permanent gaming license, eventually declared bankruptcy, and finally turned into a motel.

The only match I've ever seen is the design that Pam posted.
