I found out about this in Italy by mistake 30 years ago when I was backpacking
Our deck of cards got wet, bought a new one from a street vendor, opened it and found there were only 40 cards in there.
I think the name of the game was on the pack and I must have thought it was the card brand. No clue what it was now.
