If they have never been to Vegas then there is little need to spend money on a show. Just go see the volcano, TI Pirate show, Bellagio gardens and water show, etc. There are literally hundreds of things for newcomers to see for free and they will be amazed. Just walking thru all of the casinos is a treat.

If they need to eat don't forget about Ellis Island. Still good food for little money.
