I go to Vegas quite often and one of my favorite places to grab a cold beer and some good food is http://www.bjslasvegas.com/ (walking distance from MGM). They also have a pool table. I took my whole team there (like 12-15 guys) everyone drank and ate dinner and I think it was about $200! Try that on the strip LOL. Highly recommend happy hour / lunch.

RE: shows, that is subjective, but hard to go wrong with Cirque or Phantom and of course the Mob experience is kinda fun.
