I'm no expert but I don't believe it would be two piece construction. I think when the two dies are pressed together what you see is the leakage squeezing out in the center. The chip shown in the subject post is unfinished.

Most all reeded edge chips, by the nature of the edge show the center line. Square edge and round edged chips, if finished properly, would not show the raised center.
