Just returned from the Dominican Republic for non-chipping purposes but always on the look out. Found out for sure that the small 8 street town where I was born, San Francisco, Dominican Republic, had turned into the 3rd and almost second city in the country and had a casino. Drove almost 4 hours to get there and found the casino/chips.

Unfortunately they could could not understand the concept of chip collecting so their only explanation was, I wanted to falsify the chips, what else??
After 2 hour of begging, negotiating, and finding out that an old childhood friend was involved, they finally allowed me to buy one of each denomination.

Please note how rich this now "ex-drug town" is, minimum bet in US$ is $25, next and only other denom is $100.00, then RDpesos denom are equivalent to $11, $22, $111.
