Yes I am often up at 3am But it shouldn't matter... the time only applies if I'm automatically installing, which I'm not. This just changed last month.. it was always working exactly the way it should until a few weeks ago. It finds the updates I'm just not getting the notification. Today I checked and there is one update showing but no notification. When I go to Windows update in the control panel this is what I see... without asking it to search...
