Re: Sahara Plaques History
In Response To: Heres one for you John ()

I middled off the entire rack of them back in the late 90's.
The controller at the Fiesta when I worked there was controller at the Sahara at one time.
He had all of the Sahara plaques and Tahoe Sahara rack, in a storage locker.

I put him together with Jerry Wall.
You younger collectors will not recognize that name. vbg
When Jerry got sick it took two large U Hauls to move his chips. vbg

Bill Akeman worked with Jerry to sell the plaques into the hobby.

Spinetti bought Jerry Walls chips from his kids and opened his store.

My friend the controller was murdered while unlocking his front door a few years later. No one ever caught.
