Odd, usually one line will drag down the entire length of the scan, if there's a tiny speck of dust on the sensor. The kind of lines I see on yours is like the old many scan, image scanners, not a flatbed with one light tube.
Have you tried making a blank scan of a white page. Re-calibrate? Is that example 300 dpi or more?
Only time I have gotten lines like that recently was an LiDE Canon scanner. Everything has lines. I thought it was neat because it's USB powered and I could scan research at the library. It was a fail for the project, because the images had lines just like your example.
Epson V220 works fine for the size, but I have to sit where there's an AC outlet.
