When you consider that the Cards permanently lost the best player in baseball - Pujols - by not paying him his reasonable demand; the hero of a WS: Freeze; one of the Cy Young winners: Carpenter; a kid considered the best minor league player: Taveras, killed in car wreck; season long injury: Cy Young winner: Wainwright; various key injuries, including Martinez, Holliday, Molina, Adams; and the fall off in hitting by Carpenter, how the Cards managed to win the East is a miracle. Whether with what's left they can go all the way may be doubtful but....GO CARDS!
