Goood Evening to All

A couple of days ago I posted that our apartment got a bit wet during a severe downpour. Mentioned that there were a lot of folks in South Carolina who'd be happy to trade me for a wet carpet, so I didn't feel too bad.

While trying to get the water out of the apartment, I overdid things a bit and rubbed blisters on my feet. As I'm diabetic, with a history of foot ulcers, I have a pretty good idea where this is going, (6 weeks on crutches with my foot bandaged up), but there are folks in South Carolina who likely got a lot more bumped and bruised in the flood and in cleaning their home afterward, So I'm trying to keep a good attitude.

Next morning I went out to my truck and it wouldn't start. Battery was dead, and the receipt in the glove compartment shows that the battery is 5 weeks past it's 3 year free replacement warranty. But there are folks in South Carolina who don't have to worry about their battery as the whole car has washed away, so I'm trying to count my blessings.

This Morning I cracked a molar. Can't put anything in my mouth that is not body temperature, otherwise YEEEEOOOUCH! But there are folks in South Carolina that are happy to be getting a hot meal and a cool drink from the Red Cross at a shelter, So I try to not to get too down about it.

This afternoon I go to jump in the shower, You guessed it: No hot water! The fans drying out the carpet blew out the pilot light on the water heater. But there are folks in South Carolina with no potable water at all...

So, PLEASE: Pray for The Lord to finish up messing with the South Carolinians! This camel's back is at a critical point, and I can't take much more :-)
