The article provides a good summary of how Cardrooms came to be prominent in Southern California and specifically how the six Gardena cardrooms sprang up and blazed a trail for legal poker rooms later in the rest of California. I am listing some early Gardena cardroom chips on ebay this week including some of the 5c chips I offered here a week or so ago.
