If you decide to take the ride to Lake Tahoe via the Mt. Rose Hwy., keep an eye open for where the old "Christmas Tree" restaurant & casino use to be. That place had an interesting past, getting busted for cheating that put an end to their casino action. After that only the restaurant continued. Their address was 20007 Mt. Rose Hwy.
