Re: Question - Sahara Reno Roulettes

That's the only color I have in the Sahara Reno LGKEY roulettes, Fred. My theory is that they needed another color to use on the tables since the DIECAR chips (which have the same center marking) were not made in purple.

Sahara Reno was only open for three years in the late 70's. and they probably were not concerned with who made the added roulette color chips or what mold the chips had.

TCR recognizes the purple LGKEY chips are scarcer by giving them a *J value code. Other roulettes from there are C value.

There aren't may of us collectors who look for old roulette chips in detail. Maybe you, I, and Mr.Roulette plus a couple of others. I only collect them for a few casinos that I specialize in and try to get all chips from.
