I very rarely comment about articles written about downtown Las Vegas appearing in our club magazine. However: “Walking Downtown Las Vegas’ Past” is one of the best articles about downtown Las Vegas I have read in years. I was extremely impressed with your research and the way the article flowed for the reader. To be truthful, I read and reread it attempting to find factual errors. I could not find any!

You wrote “The Navasota Club had the first gambling license issued to an African American in Las Vegas”. I must admit I believed I was one of the few downtown Las Vegas historians who were aware of that fact. Well done Alan Schuyler.
