Chip collecting is an ever changing hobby

Chip collecting is an ever changing hobby with new chip finds and value changes happening frequently. I believe that the best advice to go by is never use an old price guide to value chips whether it is to purchase or try and sell. While the price guide you are referring to is a great tool especially because of the pictures, the prices are very out of line at this point. Always do your research between the chip board, ebay, and all of the other amazing websites so that you can be as informed as possible. When in doubt, ask questions here and people are normally very willing to help.

When posting on the chip board, it does help to post with your whole name as it makes people feel more comfortable and willing to help you. Also, always give the most detailed information that you have available to you and remember that pictures help immensely!
