Pam-What a neat RPPC of Commercial Row. You don't see too many shots of the Rollo club. If you look in
Kling it shows Mike Gallo as an owner. He was the black sheep of the famous Gallo wine family. If you look
under Colombo Hotel it shows him involved in that too. He started out in the Gallos Inn in Hawthorne which
was the forerunner to the El Capitan. The book "Blood and Wine" tells all about him. By the way I used to
patronize the bar in the Toscano Hotel next to the Colombo-see the photo on pg 30 of Kling-it sure brings
back memories. My girlfriend is forever telling me about eating in the Wine House with her dad and how
good the food was.
