I dealt craps at the Overland Hotel in early 70s and used to go over to the Oak Room on my breaks to
talk to Al Figoni (I assumed he owned the place). I know he owned several bars in downtown Reno and
possibly the Mint Club. I remember there was only one 21 game and a poker table as well as slots.
One time he took me in the basement to look around - of course I was bugging him for old chips. There
were a bunch of $50 and $100 Colbrandts chips just laying around and he let me have them. Later on
the place was called the Bright Spot. All they had was slots with big red revolving lights and loud bells
that went off when you hit a jackpot. It reminded me of Honest Johns in Vegas.
