Re: These are rack chips made for Trump Plaza ....

"The rejected chip order led to Burt Co. of Portland, Maine - manufacturer of these chips going out of business."
Not quite true. These chips were made during the time John Kendall owned the Burt Co. assets and he abandoned the business to form Chipco and produce ceramic chips. The rejected order did not cause this, John had already made his mind up to pursue full face graphics.
The original Burt Co. had already been sold to Delta Realty and subsequently John Kendall a few years before this.

Timeline of the company.

Opened in 1912 as the Portland Billiard Ball Co.
Bought by the Burt family in 1936 and renamed The Burt Co.
Bought by Dealty Realty in 1985
Bought by John Kendall a few months later
Bought by Jim Blanchard in 1988 and renamed Atlantic Standard Molding (traded online as pokerchipsonline.com)
Bought by Michael Dambach and Donald 'Red' Ott in 2012 and renamed American Standard Molding (continued trading online as above)
Bought by myself and David Sarles in 2013 and renamed Classic Poker Chips (trading online as both CPC and pokerchipsonline.com)

The Trump chips were made around 1986.
