That was my point. I must confess that I was a little dismayed with you until you made that clear.
"On the other hand, there IS a place for civil disobedience (albeit, this isn't it). It is at least as important for us to teach our children when it is appropriate, if not imperative, to refuse to obey the "law" as it is for us to teach them to be "law-abiding".
I agree with that with one caveat: I believe that to disobey the law there should be some overwhelmingly compelling moral reason to do so. And one had better "count the cost" before such an action, and be ready to suffer the consequences.
