I've only been somewhat seriously collecting for about 5 years maybe a little longer.... I'm just learning that some of the Las Vegas casinos ordered some of these chips to look identical, after the closing of the casino's..... Just read about it in the new TCR.... Obviously the real thing is preferable, but it seems like these so called "after issues" hold fairly close to the originals... And it seems like the easiest way to tell the difference is the originals have a spun coin vs a stamped coin, I'm guessing? Can anyone expand on this? How common is it? How much does it really matter? Anything that would be helpful, in knowledge regarding these chips.... Since I read that section in the latest TCR, I'm reluctant to buy coin center chips... I have a few in my collection that I'm just really learning are the after issue, I have to admit being disappointed... In the chips themselves and me for not knowing this sooner.......
