These great looking chips were of course the subject of various threads on this board following the 'strange practice' adopted by the erratic seller.
I was the eventual buyer of these chips although things didn't go down exactly as the seller had informed some of the interested parties (and he didn't even keep a consistent story).
I did not make any offer to buy all the chips. I had a high snipe set and my communication with the seller only started after he altered the auction description as it wasn't clear from his description or the new pics how many of each were now included. I would have probably been satisfied (like most others) to acquire a set for my collection at a reasonable price.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, during conversation he suddenly stated that due to the number of people contacting him he was going to cancel the auction, and would I be interested in buying what was left. Despite being asked several times, he still would not tell me the counts. I guess the reason for this became apparent later as he was busy selling odd chips off to others that had contacted him.
The final communication, right at the time he finally ended the auction, was that it would cost me $2600 if I wanted them all or they were gone elsewhere.
By the time I also had to pay fees and then the shipping cost to get them here, and was shorted a few chips I assumed were in there, they wound up costing me a shade over $50 a piece.

I had already decided before committing that if I got these, rather than offer them at ridiculous prices I would put them out as cheap as I could to try and keep as many people happy as possible, even knowing I would basically have to sell them all to break even.
Having taken care of a couple of others in the hobby already, I have 36 chips available (although one of the three 'blue head' chips is on hold for someone).

I would actually prefer payments by check for these where possible to minimise my loss

There are 9 of the yellow Phoenix available at $70 each shipped
There are 3 of the blue Head available at $125 each shipped
