being very large (the town, that is). I can't believe you could be very far from the ferry to the lodge. I went in 1992, so my memory is fuzzy, but, it is a nice area. It's a beautiful area. There is also a great waterfall just over the border in Canada. Keep in mind that Grand Portage is now slots only. They had black jack when I was there:
