maybe this is why I am a little "butt-hurt" at the moment. I won an auction on an item that just ended yesterday..retail value was $50-$60..for some reason I was the high bidder for under $9.

I paid within 5 minutes of the auction ending..then soon after I got my PayPal refunded to me. I messaged the seller and asked why he cancelled it..and this was his response..

I'm SO SORRY! I can't believe I blew it that bad I hope you'll forgive me. I feel terrible to cancel but I'm not trying to throw away $40 dollars. I really really try hard to make everyone happy. To get top rated on ebay is so extremely hard. I almost just shipped them and took the $30 loss. Keep in mind I didn't claim that you wanted to cancel the order like others do. I had an option to try that as some buyers would let that slide. I take accountability and will get punished for this sale pretty hard. For example if I were to even ship an item late 20x out of 1,000 order I lose my top rated status. 20 minor problems in 1,000 orders I have to keep it under so I promise I don't do this often. I hope I can make it up to you or you won't feel bad. I can sure promise that this will be avoided ever happening again with any item. Never again low balling the starting bid without reserve. Probably not doing auctions at all. So this is a learning lesson. I apologize sincerely. :-/
