I agree and would guess that most seasoned bidders wait until the end to bid on auctions.

When you bid earlier you are bidding up the price and will probably lose it in the last few seconds, anyways.

If it is an item I REALLY want..such as the 1-2-8 Paigow set I have been trying to purchase for 5 years..I will usually wait til the final minute.

Just my opinion from what I have observed over the years on Ebay.

And, I might be mistaken, but didn't J. Eric Freedner say he actually had a bid on one of the items that was cancelled?
