I can understand where you are coming from and appreciate the generous offer to get something like this started.

If this is something the BOD would like to pursue we will definitely take you up on that.

Unfortunately I doubt that we would be able to gather another $19,000 in funding from our membership without seriously depleting our other fundraising programs like the auction, raffle and MOGH efforts.

While I don't see it as a feasible idea, it way be something that the BOD moves forward with at a future date.

Personally I think $38,000 is much better spent on advertising, allowing free admission to the convention or other things we could do with the money.

Heck if you told me you would pay me $38,000 I can get you 1,000 new members and 500 associates tomorrow and still pocket $6000.
I would just offer free membership to everyone at my company.

That's right $38,000 is the income from nearly 1,500 new members or double our current membership.

In order to recoup the costs of $38,000 thru new membership we would need to add 10,000 new members for a year as most of the membership costs goes to the magazine.

Just something to consider.
