I've been thinking this… I would appreciate some feedback.
Do we really need the Club's "Business Only" Message Board?

I post here on this board because it is community. People can make critiques, debates or bring up Club issues without it seeming like they are personally attacking the Club or individuals on the BOD. It is a "unofficial" place to communicate member to member. It is not a coincidence that this is the place most Members gather and prefer to make posts about the Club even when reminded time after time to post Club related topics on the Club Board.
Doug has made this suggestion for years but we continue to prefer to talk Club stuff here. (The Club should learn from this)

If we are not going to plan to grow the Club's Message Board into a robust meeting place…. ((because of its limitations)), can we turn the space into a BOD "Members Update" page. If people have questions about the update, They can ask a Board Member directly, everyone's contacts are on the site. I think this would save a lot of the BOD's time.

I know that generally this board receives more traffic because people can sell stuff here but if we look at the whole picture, wouldn't it make sense to
replace the under-utilized Message Board with a Monthly BOD news letter and have one hobby message board.

What do Members think about this idea?

PS… I'm posting this on the Club Board too... so follow responses their as well.
