on the BOD is not in me now but if asked I'm happy to be on a committee tasked with a specific purpose. Like putting together a ED job description.
Here is a quickie for thought.

Position Title: Executive Director

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Key Skills: Programming, non-profit finance and administration, fundraising, grant writing

Compensation: $38,000 yearly

Reports to: Board of Directors

The organization:

CC>CC is a not for profit organization dedicated the preservation of gaming history.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the curatorial vision that furthers the mission of the CC>CC, including curating exhibitions, coordinating all aspects of club activities and promoting the annual convention. Additional duties will include overseeing the quarterly Club magazine and partnerships with other organizations.

Work directly with membership for Club projects or exhibitions, coordinating projects; responsible for overseeing each project budget.

Oversee development of exhibition-related programming, including educational and interpretive programs aimed primarily at adult audiences.

Develop annual budget and oversee fulfillment of annual fundraising plan including oversight of two annual fundraisers and grant writing both locally and nationally. Participate in research, cultivation and stewardship of constituents, including potential board members, Friends of CC>CC, corporate, foundation. Lead continual efforts to find new sources of revenue.

Oversee all aspects of C>CC day to day activities, including management of volunteers and interns when needed, exhibition program development and implementation, oversee care and maintenance of CC>CC property, administrative tasks, marketing and outreach.

Conduct local, national and international research as part of developing the CC>CC program through partner visits, personal travel and other artist related activities.

Strengthen, maintain and work to extend the CC>CC's role as a leading non-profit gaming preservation organization.

Serve as primary spokesperson for the CC>CC. Communicate with membership and the general public. Expand opportunities for participation in educational programs. Build a solid base of support for continued programming by increasing awareness of the club, its mission, vision and program.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a visionary outlook and in-depth understanding of not for profit organizations, with proven curatorial, fundraising and management experience. Excellent communication skills required. Candidates should possess strong fundraising abilities including grant writing. Work experience in the nonprofit field required. Knowledge of Las Vegas history is a plus.
