I agree with nearly every point you made, Andy. I understand others' desire to consider locations on the Strip to try to increase the walk-in traffic, but overall, I think the South Point is the best fit for the club.
The one area I have a different opinion is what to do with the collection. My kids are in their mid-30s and have no knowledge of or interest in my chips. Neither does my wife. I don't want to burden them with having to worry about selling my collection when I'm gone. They'll have enough to deal with.
So, about six months ago I made the decision to begin the long process of selling chips from my collection, not just the duplicates I've acquired over the years. My primary collecting interest is Lake Tahoe, and those chips will be the last to go. This is strictly a matter of personal preference, but I'm comfortable with my decision, and it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be to part with some of my better chips.
I even put my $1 Bucket of Blood on this week, something I never I thought i would do. But there is a time to part with everything.
