Steve, the chipboard is a wide open forum. Suppose that a beautifully-written presentation is given to a potential business partner. Suppose that potential partner wants to learn more. So he goes to the club board; there's not a lot of activity there but he finds a post that refers him to the chipboard.
What will he find when he gets here? He'll find lots of pictures...some blurry, some crisp and clean and cropped, and most of them somewhere in the middle. He'll find lots of posts...some ungrammatical, some beautifully written, and most of them somewhere in the middle. So far, so good. But suppose he clicks on one of the less grammatically-correct posts...then clicks on another post that belittles the poster. What will he think? Definitely not professional.
And since you brought up the VP candidates (I didn't...nor was it a thread that included the two of them that triggered my post), most of us on the chipboard can recognize the difference in their writing styles...no one needs to point it out to us.
