my pleasure to help out. when I was 7 or 8, living in st Louis, a twister hit the parking lot of my school. it did no damage though. 4 years ago a big one hit near my folks house on new years eve and whipped out a whole town near the Lindbergh & Watson area. so I do have a history with/of them.
