Bill Borland is considered a chipping pioneer, but his chips have confused and put off countless collectors and would be collectors over the years. (Myself included, back when I was a n00b).
Back when he came out with his commemorative/fake chips, was there a big backlash from collectors like we have seen on the Chipboard the past few days?
Also, I wonder how many people have tried to cash in some of his chips at the different casinos over the years? I can't imagine the casinos were too thrilled with him either.
An argument can be made that it is no different than counterfeiting money..
