Think I set a personal record this year for most chips purchased at one show, which made for some happy dealers.
Klondike Sunset $1 white chip - saw those in use at the craps table in the casino a couple of years ago, but never could figure out how to buy any and get 'em out of the casino. Especially with the dealer too busy to notice me & the burly guard shooting daggers at me from his eyes. Imagine my surprise to find one of those very chips in Spinetti's mystery box. Apparently the owner died a few months ago and the casino closed. Sorry to hear that - but now some Klondike chips are available.
Oscar Goodman drinks with Rats!
A Sic bird from the Laughlin Flamingo . . .
A bounding brown Stallion,
The Alystra Casino which had Jimmy Connors chasing around for stray tennis balls,
Assorted Florida chips, some salty some just faded out,
Some El Rancho Vegas that have seen better times but need a good home,
and, the Strip Dealers School - because how else can anyone learn Strip Poker?
Thanks to Mike Spinetti, John Kallman, Fred Hempel, Don McMaster, Stu Lovett, Bud Meyer, John Chamberlain, Dave Spragg and his boxes of Chipcos, and a host of others. Kudus to all, except Walter D. who gets lemurs.
