If that happened I think the number of bidders would drop overnight - I can't see people (me included) wanting to maintain what in effect would be a savings account with Ebay with the funds in it that cover all of my bids. Regardless of the danger of losing your cash if anything ever happened to them, imagine how that would work for high price items like motor vehicles???
