I'm not a collector anymore. I was at the Bellagio the night they arrested Carleo. I don't think the RFID is used as much as the casinos would want people to believe. He stayed and played over the holidays. I think I remember it said he lost about $160,000 in flags, 5K chips, at the tables. He played high stakes poker so that's were he said the 5K chips were from. He couldn't use the cranberries and when he tried to move them that's how the police caught him.

In poker there is a lot of movement of large denomination chips that the casino does not track. BIG no limit or pot limit games can have millions in $25K and up chips passing back and forth.

In some casinos they track every $500 chip. In the major casinos $5,000 chips aren't accounted for as the casinos would like you to think.
