I could not in good conscious pass this by. I have never read such an insensitive and ignorant remark. Apparently Depression, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia and/or any other mental illness has never touched you, anyone in your family, or a loved one. It is rather difficult to believe given 1 in 4 people in the US have a diagnosable mental illness. I apologize for the manner in which this may have been interpretated, however the depth and intensity of the suffering and pain a person who jumps 20 stories to make stop is far and away the worst thing you could possibly imagine.
It is astounding the vast majority of people in this country remain ignorant, possess judgemental attitudes and stigmatize folks who are unfortunate enough to have a mental illness. Very interesting that May is Mental Health Awareness Month....
