I TOOK THE MUSTANG OUT OF THE CORRAL AND WENT NORTH ON HWY. 95 FOR AN ADVENTURE. 1ST. STOP WAS OLD TULEY SPRINGS RANCH ... NOW A CITY PARK AND PRESERVE ... FED MY FAVORITE GEESE, DUCK AND OTHER TASTY BIRDS.... (SEE PICS) ... THEN ON THE WAY TO INDIAN SPRINGS, NEVADA I SAW A SMALL VILLAGE WAY OFF IN THE DESERT. THE SMALL SIGN SAID CORN CREEK, NEVADA AND THE DESERT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE A FEW MILES FURTHER DOWN THE DIRT ROAD. NEXT STOP WAS INIDAN SPRINGS WHICH USED TO HAVE A CASINO MOTEL, GAS STATION, COLLECTIBLES STORE ETC. WAS ALL CLOSED UP AND PURCHASED BY THE AIR FORCE BASE NEXT DOOR. LASTLY UP THE ROAD A FEW MILES WAS CACTUS SPRINGS, NOW A GHOST TOWN WHICH USED TO HAVE A SALOON, SLOTS, RESTAURANT, AND TRUCK STOP.... LONG GONE AND FOR SALE. FOOD WAS FAST AND FURIOUS ...WEATHER WAS WINDY, DUSTY AND A SPRINKLE OF RAIN ON THE WAY BACK. I ALWAY'S TAKE LONG DRIVES TO AIR OUT MY BRAIN AND GET THE HECK OUT OF NOISY LAS VEGAS! THANKS FOR LOOKING ... RICH BURGEL * here is a link on the history of Indian Springs Nevada ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Springs,_Nevada
