I have often paid less than a $1 a chip when buying in quanitities in antique shops. I find there are some that selling isn't important to them. They're happy to display what they have for years. With these folks their wares usually never change. The same stuff displayed with very few sales and high prices. There are chip dealers like this as well. I'm sure some of them having brought the same chips to the oonvention year after year.
