I have not have the pleasure of working with Rich, but while he was Membership Officer, Steve was of great help in keeping my contestant listing as accurate as possible. I have been running these contests with Andy Hughes' help regularly since 2010, and was doing it even before that without keeping records. Steve would comb through the Contestant list at least once a year and advise me which members were no longer in the Club and misspellings I may have made. I have always appreciated his help.

In this situation, and without any other information, I would have added Egan's name to my list. Once we win the jackpot, I will have the current Membership Officer validate the contestants. Anyone on the list that is not either a current member or a member at all would be deleted anyway. "No harm, no foul".
