About 8 years ago I found a dealer at the Long Beach, CA Coin Show who sold me $500 face value in postage for $390.00. It was in the last few hours of the show and he didn't want to have to haul them back home. The catch was that 95% of the lot was in 5cent or smaller stamps. I was selling a lot of goodies on eBay at the time and had lots of fun "wallpapering" the boxes I sent out. Some of the window clerks at the post office went nuts counting them, even though I grouped them to make for easier counting. After seeing all of the different stamps, one of the clerks ended up buying a bunch of them from me for her own collection. I've still got $10 - $20 worth of the stamps boxed up somewhere from my move to Las Vegas.
