We Hawaiian Islanders r per capital, the state that goes to Las Vegas the most.
The Boyd Group donates lots of time and money to our state.
There is a Boyd Group travel agency here on Oahu called Vacations Hawaii. Many special packages which include direct air flights to McClaren, airport transportation, hotel rooms, food coupon package, no tipping and great Aloha welcome atmosphere at the Cal.
Upstairs at the Cal, there is a concession diner that serves lots of Hawaiian favorites like: spam and eggs, saimin with sliced Chinese Char Siu, beef stew, spam musubis with white stick rice!!!
Several times a year a VP dressed in a bright Aloha Shirt from the Boyd Group makes a check donation at our U of Hawaii football during the game.
For me, I was always taken by my parents to Las Vegas since I was 6 years old. I was told by them that all us locals stay Downtown. I was sneak playing the slots since I was 15. In fact, once a armed Cal Guard bumped in to me while I was playing the slots. We each turned around to face each other, he said to me nicely the he was sorry and to excuse him. I shyly nodded and he walked by.
The craps odd were better, the 21 dealers dealt one or two decks, and U don't have to dress up! We can wear our tee shirts, aloha puka puka shirts, shorts and flipflops and speak our Hawaiian Pigeon English!!
Example: Like go grind? = Shall we have something to eat?
Where U stay? = What is your location?
Ah Way, I stay all bus up! = I am taking a heavy loss at gambling!
Spock out that wahine with the big Coconuts! That is pretty self explanatory. LOL!
See U all at the June CC>CC Show. Let the good times roll!
Okole MaLuna!
