Due to the bad weather, we had a smaller than expected crowd show up. I travel 150 miles from Long Island to get to Atlantic City. I left at 6:30 am in light rain and made it all the way down to AC in the usual time, 2 hours and 15 minutes. The route I took along the coast was apparently warmer than those coming from inland, like Philly and Northern NJ. It was about 30 degrees when the rain started and roads quickly iced up causing 100's of accidents and several fatalities. All the major roads and bridges between Philly and AC were closed during the morning hours. But we did have about 30 in attendance and had a nice meeting with the trading session, a 50/50 raffle and a business meeting. The auction was skipped due to the low attendance. The Club's 20th anniversary Octagon chip was released at the meeting and sales were pretty decent. We even had the Atlantic City Press at the meeting and look for an article in tomorrow's edition.
