I Haven't REALLY looked at your trading posts. I don't trade that much. Most of the trades that I've done I ended up feeling like the other side got the best of the deal. Can't say if they felt the same way though.
Not their fault if I'm not well informed on values, but still, I avoid trades to avoid that feeling. If someone will ONLY trade a chip that I really really want, then I'll try my luck with the trade.
Otherwise, it's just too easy to go buy the chip on eBay, type in your PayPal password, and be done with it. No back and forth emails, scanning (some of the scans of dubious quality) finding mailers, trips to the post office...
Also, with the market down to less than face value for a lot of chips, I tend to only buy in lots of at least 4 to 10 to 100 chips, to make the shipping cost per chip reasonable. I hit eBay with the extras, sell them cheap, with cheap (dangerous) shipping. To do a trade here, it would have to be the same sort of thing for me. Maybe someone who has bought a few lots on eBay and doesn't want to mess with reselling the extras one at a time, they could send me some of their extras for some of mine, and I do the selling. The one problem with that is, having bought the chips in the first place incurs a shipping charge, and then to have another shipping charge to just have different chips to sell... Not really effective for me, unless the person I'm trading with wants to turn loose of the chips at a "trade price" that they realize has value to them for NOT having to eBay the chips themselves. Selling on eBay has become a pain in the @$$, nowhere near as much fun as it used to be 10 years ago. If you haven't sold on eBay recently and don't have "templates", the amount of time it would take for you to list 10 lots is not worth it. My eBay sales in the last 60 days show that I've sold 250 lots, mostly chips and slot cards in single item lots. My true profit on these sales... Maybe $10. But it keeps me off the streets, and lets me add (too many) new chips to my collection from the "keepers" in the lots I've bought.
My (not so) humble opinion is that most of the folks on this board are far higher level collectors than I am. Most of my inventory is not even of passing interest to them, and for the most part I don't even bother to post it anymore. With the newer folks that have posted on this thread, maybe I should try again.
