The Problem started with the economy years ago... Many couldnt buy anymore without the extra income they once had so 1st thing to go when you need cash is your collectables. (Same with coins and stamps... All collectables are down)

You also have a lot of the older members selling their collections off and not buying anymore. This drives prices down...

Hoards of chips are coming out one at a time and killing the values on better Vegas stuff that puts a bad taste in someones mouth... (This has been happening for years)

Now there are more people selling chips then there are people buying chips.
Everyone prices them cheaper than the last until they are below face... Below face is how a lot are selling off all their chips to cash out.

A chip is only worth what someone is willing to pay. You can alway find one cheaper. depends how patient you are.

Its a great time to be a new collector. You all will get great deals! They just keep getting cheaper and cheaper...

Another thing hurting us finding new collectors is the casinos not making the Limited Edition chips anymore... This is how many started collecting... They kept a chip from the Casino that had the band they saw or an event they saw while in Vegas.... Then they find another or hear about chips... Than get the bug and buy others... I think this is one of the biggest reasons for not getting as many new blood in the hobby???

I still Collect Atlantic City and that market is the most dried up market of them all! Not many AC collectors out there anymore... I would still spend crazy money to get a chip that I need! JUst cant find them. Yet! When you cant add a new chip to your collection for a while you kind of lose interest. I know when I get a new chip it gets me looking at all my chips again! Anyone have a rare AC Chip for sale?!!!

Maybe one day someone will come up with the answer? Until then it is what it is, Enjoy the ride!
