Dan, I view the board very often and have seen many your trade posts. With all due respect, the chips that you offer for trade are mainly very common and I suspect already owned...or at least not being widely "sought after". The chips that you are looking to trade for....by contrast are less common and generally go for decent prices when sold.

For beginning collectors who would benefit from the lesser valued and more common chips can buy them in bulk off ebay for very good prices. The thought of trading for 1, 2 or 3 chips is probably not that appealing to these folks.

I'm not speaking of all your chips...as there are a couple (like the MGM CIC) that do hold higher value and have value to seasoned collectors. But, the odds of finding someone that needs it AND has one of your wants, may take time.

Please don't take offense as I'm just trying to give you my thoughts on your posts. I have had quite a bit of success trading on the board but it is always with mid valued chips... $20 - $100 value. Trading lower or higher value chips is much harder to get done, in my experience.

With that said, I think there IS something to the status of the hobby. Newer collectors are not arriving in the numbers that they used to.....or so it seems. Most active people on this board seem to have pretty advanced collections and looking to fill holes with those highly elusive chips.

Keep going and keep trying. You never know who may stumble upon your posts and be interested.
