I collect Cal Neva Lodge and I have one. James said there were less than 75 known when he did his last update to the book. He calls it Rare. I agree.
I don't think the number ordered 60 years ago has much bearing on current value. It's nice to know and I'm happy TCR authors were able to find this history. More important is what you're trying to determine... how many are in collector and dealer hands today.
I do think it's interesting that this chip and it's color-pair, the red with three blue inserts were made at the same time and in roughly equal numbers. What could these have been used for?
